Ten years ago, my pal Pete and I revived our tiny record label to release the first single by @pipblom.bsky.social and they’ve produced wonderful music for the whole decade since. I’ll be screaming along with this, one of the best choruses ever, in London tonight! X youtu.be/y2w1Kyt8Wcw?...

For National Camera Day, here (again) is the trusty little Olympus Pen half-frame that I smuggled past the bouncers at The Venue in December 1981 to take a photo which would be used over forty years later on the live version of one of the best records ever made. #nationalcameraday

John Claridge 1944-2026. One of the most extraordinary photographers and printers of our time. A huge influence and inspiration to me and a thousand other young snappers in the 70s and 80s.

#FallFriday Did my first long (well, 20 minutes) run on Couch to 5K this morning with these selections to boost the motivation. This era is great accompaniment to any form of exercise, not that the guv’nor would approve. youtu.be/WS8DlCumuCc?...

If there’s one group who I will never tire of, it’s @nightingalesuk.bsky.social and if you’re lucky enough to see them on this tour, be assured you’re witnessing the best band in the land on those tiny stages!

The Nightingales, who have never let me down in five decades of live performances. Tonight they filled The Portland Arms with sounds unlike any other group. Awright!

Ah, the Lyceum was a great venue. Drove down from Norwich after scanning the Sounds gig guide and spotting who was 3rd on the bill, parked right outside, ran in (having bought tickets ON THE DOOR) and entered the hall to hear Moz say ‘Thank you and good night’. #TicketStubWednesday
