An explanation on why Big Walk isn't available on Xbox. bigwalk.game/xbox

Regarding Xbox

In June 2026 we announced that the release of Big Walk would be limited to computers, Switch 2 and PS5. Since then, we have received many messages and comments, asking about a future Xbox release. We would like to address those questions here:

We have made the decision not to release Big Walk on Xbox, in accordance with the Palestinian-led BDS (Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions) movement’s call to boycott Microsoft, and their designation of Microsoft Games (and Xbox) as a priority boycott target. If you need help understanding our motives, we would recommend reading about why Microsoft is a BDS priority target, the successes this kind of pressure has already had on Microsoft, and especially, watching this great introductory piece by People Make Games.

It has always been our intention for Big Walk to be played by groups of friends, and we know that keeping the game off Xbox runs counter to those intentions. This decision means that some people will miss out on playing Big Walk with their friends, and we understand the disappointment we’re causing. We are disappointed too.

We would love for people to be able to play the game on Xbox, but not until Microsoft and/or Xbox have been removed as BDS boycott targets.

We’ve made this decision with the belief that meaningful change can be made in the world, that coordinated collective action can confront even the most powerful interests, and that one day, Palestine will be free.

Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely,
House House

i made the mistake of ordering a flat white at starbucks yesterday. the coffee sucks, that isnt a revelation but it was so profoundly bad that it made me do the math and realize that being a specialty coffee snob, even factoring in the equipment and the primobeans, is cheaper than going there daily

"Why wasn't this piece of art more explicit with its messaging" cause it would have sucked ass Bob. Telling people the truth isn't as effective as making them experience it. That's why it's art and not an essay.

imo the shadow realm stuff pretty firmly cements genshin impact's place inside the hoyoverse, or whatever you want to call the broadest level of cosmogony that exists, shared between the honkai games is it consequential at all? probably not. but the parallels are neat to see, just like with expies

(non-spoiler) During the AQ where you control Traveler and have to hit the Statue of Seven with Cryo, it is possible to do this without actually resonating with Cryo. I used Escoffier.

a little intense, but i rather enjoy the outlook of translating the divine comedy in the Hollander edition

This is not Dante, but an approximation of what he might authorize had he been looking over our shoulders, listening to our at times ferocious arguments. We could go on improving this effort as long as we live. We hope that as much as we have accomplished will find an understanding ear and heart among those who know the real thing.

Every translation begins and ends with failure. To the degree that we have been able to preserve some of the beauty and power of the original, we have failed the less.

unfortunately i think a not-insignificant part of the industry is aiming to just price consumers out of being able to buy computing hardware altogether, so that they will rent it via cloud gaming services we all know the infrastructure isnt there... but that wont stop them from trying
