That green bar of light in the southern sky only lasted a short while, but it was spectacular. Back garden near Stonehenge, UK. Canon 1100D 10s @ 800 ISO 28mm f4.5

@amandachadburn.bsky.social - these are the postholes I mentioned (holes 1 to 4 in Plate 3 of MEC's monograph) just outside of the causeway entrance but effectively under the henge bank, so probably early features. The E-W sightline has been (hurriedly, by me) marked with dashes. See you soon!
A cropped closeup of Plate 3 showing the four postholes just outside the causeway entrance, extracted from Maud Cunnington's Woodhenge monograph.

Happy #DoctorWhoDay!
The iconic TARDIS from Doctor Who standing in the monument field with the equally iconic Stonehenge in the background for Doctor Who Day 2025.

An upside down "IN" sign, reading therefore "NI", with a handwritten note above it reading "We want a shrubbery!'

Great pic, and very atmospheric. I went for a wider view to get a montage as it progressed.

Archaeoacoustics - by design, or simply emergent properties noticed after the fact... some fascinating threads to follow in that direction. And a scale model is always useful.

Stonehenge with a Star Wars stormtrooper pointing his gun at a collection of druids processing towards him, with the caption "These are not the Druids you are looking for!"

Something of a milestone - moving ~20GB of stuff relating to the abandoned, flawed, Stonehenge Tunnel proposal off the laptop into archival storage. Hoping to never have to look at it again.
Partial file list of my Stonehenge Tunnel-related documents and accompanying material amassed over the last decade or more, now destined for archival storage.

Once upon a time (in the last years of the 20th century), the alternative domain name registry (called name.space) allowed the registration of any TLD you wanted. I was the proud owner of .com.moon and .com.mars.

... which is why I had to take this pic from the Cursus Barrow field. No sense of humour, some people.
