weaso.me @weaso.me · 11/09/2026I heard good things about the Wacom Movink Pad, specially the 14 inches one As a tablet it's worse than Samsungs but as an art device seems very on par with iPad (and it comes with the wacom pen) 021

weaso.me @weaso.me · 04/09/2026And even people who do want to study and get better still can decide to separate and balance "improvement time" and "having fun time" I think art is more about self-expression, and while skill is often a good tool to express yourself more clearly, it's not really what defines "good" or "bad" artists 000
weaso.me @weaso.me · 04/09/2026Yeah, the notion that art goals can differ should be more normalized I think Not everyone wants to become a professional illustrator for games or whatever, most people are having fun with a hobby and don't need to care about studying and improving if they don't have a reason to 100
weaso.me @weaso.me · 29/08/2026But I'm saying this while also avoiding going back to trying making rendered pieces myself because the slop machine ruined people's perception of stuff, so... 🫠 010
weaso.me @weaso.me · 29/08/2026I don't think people like this even stop to wonder the amount of experience, skill, time, passion and effort goes into the art piece they're seeing, so I'd suggest trying not to put too much thought into things random internet people mindlessly say, also Most people aren't like this, thankfully 170

weaso.me @weaso.me · 18/07/2026It's also a bad solution for a problem that they facilitate: "people post generated images and viewers believe it's real, so let's tell them if our AI evaluates it as real or not" Which will not work because there's no way for an algorithm to tell, might as well just randomly tag 50% of the posts 020
weaso.me @weaso.me · 18/07/2026As if second-guessing everything online wasn't enough already, this is mudding the waters even more and will make people even less able to analyze stuff, since at any doubt they have they will read it and believe it Next step is google summary thing scraping this "info" and stating it as a fact 🫠 120
