and members of other faiths, including people with no religion. Our leaders must uphold the principles and values in The U.S. Constitution & The United States Bill of Rights—not imposing compliance to a personal/state theology such as that occurring within theocratic systems as in Iran.

It's a danger resembling what happens in Iran when state power becomes entangled with a favored religious doctrine: citizens who do not accept that doctrine risk being treated as less loyal or less worthy. America must not follow that path. The military belongs equally to Christians, Jews, Muslims,

—values that are anathema to what the Great Rabbi taught about love of neighbor, mercy, humility, and care for the outsider. My concern is Hegseth appears to use public office to elevate his own religious and political beliefs across the armed forces – that is a dangerous historical precedent.
