No, the generalisation is fair, and not contradictory. Boy racers and some motorcyclists act in ways that significantly affect quality of life and health of others. That's not intolerance, and in any case, as the paradox of tolerance shows, we are not compelled to tolerate everyone on equal terms.

Petrolheads are seen as just another group of hobbyists. In truth, they're a danger to society. The accidents they cause, the pollution and noise are just part of it. There's also an associated politics: toxic, selfish, macho, climate-denying, often far-right. For their "fun", everyone suffers.

It's not assigning blame or putting the burden on anyone. It's not saying to hide the truth either. She's saying just to have sympathy for men. Explaining why 'not all men' can be a valid response to generalising statements. Expressing sympathy for all human beings, even villains, just less so.

I don't see why it has to be called Israel, but if you could guarantee that the state of Israel provides genuine equality across the board then I could concede on the relatively unimportant naming scheme. Yes, other ethnostates should be reined in too. USA for one. Also a rogue state.

No serious leftists advocate for a 2 state solution. Almost no Palestinians do either. The 2 state solution does nothing for justice or long term safety and maintains an apartheid ethnostate in place. It might sound nice, but there's a reason Israel and it's supporters back it.

At a certain point, some stuff just can't be meaningfully improved. Fridges and washing machines do what they're supposed to. Shoving computers into them is scraping at fractional, hollow gains. Meanwhile, the global south is looted for minerals and our landfills overflow, and we're still unhappy!
