listened to this and took the afternoon off to finally see it. the formal language from 2500 years ago is astonishing and the "Linen Book of Zagreb" may be one of the most historic things I've seen - a text cut up and stained because it was used to wrap an Egyptian mummy.

the supermarket photo feels multi-layered
a person in a supermarket eating grapes (a behavior that gets you reprimanded at the supermarket) has a sly expression. There’s produce behind them as well as toys for sale (the nightmare of consumerism)

thanks for the "120 Minutes" flashbacks. perhaps time to start a Spotify playlist of music with album covers inspired by "The Lightning Field"
"Section 25 – From The Hip" - a New Order adjacent group - illustrated album cover showing some highlands with painted poles that relate to designer Peter Saville's color letter codes."Third Plane" 1977 album cover by Miles Davis alumni super group Hancock/Carter/Williams (album is jazz standards so not as interesting as what Hancock was doing at the time) - photo seems to show a single pole in "Lightning Field" but there's no other visible poles, which makes it either edited or not the actual lightning field.
