Flu jab 2.44 today. Thought the 2.44 was a bit odd. I was a bit late so checked in 2.40. They sat me down in reception. 2.42 they moved me to a seat outside vac. room, said to go straight in when the person in came out. 2.43 they came out I went in. Quick pleasantries. 244 jab. 2.45 out the building

40 years we've been going to B&Q. We've completely re-decorated and done lots of extra work in three houses in #colchester but now we're retired and at home a lot, we are now able to simply shop online and pay the £6 for delivery, and it's so frickin liberating!

Back from two nights away in Manchester to news of a tourist tax in the UK. We spent c£150 on trains c£250 on the hotel room, 2x evening meals, 2x lunches, various coffees and pubs and craft beer bars, 2x museums, 1x cinema, 2x taxis. All that into local economy, andVAT on these spendings for govt.

I bought a dartboard to go in The Old Brewhouse two months ago. Sadly the old magic appeared to have deserted me. I wasn't comfortable with the darts so I went on ebay and spent 20squids on some vintage tungsten darts like I used to use in the late 70s/early 80s. Arrived today and after 30mins..

Apropos of nothing, since the hosepipe ban my garden is doing much better. Turns out I give it much more water when doing it by watering can that I did with a hosepipe. Funny old world. It does take a fricking hour to do it, but then again it counts to my 10000 steps and it is enjoyable.

Hartlepool manager didn't prioritise the National League Cup match today. Complied with the requirement to start with 4 regular first teamers, but subbed them all off after two minutes. Left a team of academy players to take on Boro u21s. That went well.

Just spent half an hour on the Gov.UK/One system getting my driving licence renewed as I'm proper old now and have to do that sort of thing. I didn't take kindly to it showing me my photo of 10yrs ago next to the new one. I had pondered using this one. All that hair!

I'm selling a number of son number 1's old books on ebay for him. What's a bit galling is that books we bought him for xmas and birthdays at £15 a pop, he's selling for 10+ times the prices. He's even got a Fighting Fantasy paperback we bought second hand, that's up for £240squids!!

Back from the GP's after a PSA blood test. The GP advised a 48hr abstinence from cycling, gym and ejaculation as they all affect the prostate. They cancelled the first appt so it was a 96hr abstinence. The weather warning says to stay indoors and not to exercise. I mean, what am I supposed to do???
