Released 40 years ago today. Love And Rockets - Seventh Dream Of Teenage Heaven. This was also the first CD I ever bought… along with PE - It Takes A Nation Of Millions To Hold Us Back. Quite the 1-2 punch. #musicsky #vinylsky #loveandrockets #seventhdreamofteenageheaven

The photograph captures a stylish vinyl listening setup featuring Love and Rockets’ Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven, combining classic analog audio equipment, colorful vinyl, and atmospheric lighting.

On the left, a silver Technics turntable sits on a dark wooden surface with its transparent dust cover raised. A vibrant, translucent blue vinyl record rests on the platter, with the tonearm lowered onto the record as it plays. The polished metal surfaces reflect warm pink and orange highlights, contrasting beautifully with the deep blue of the vinyl.

To the right, the album’s striking blue sleeve is prominently displayed. Its minimalist artwork features a large black circle containing angular blue shapes and a vivid red heart. The band’s name, Love and Rockets, appears across the top, while the album title, Seventh Dream of Teenage Heaven, runs along the bottom.

Beneath the sleeve sits a compact electronic display with brilliant blue LED lettering, adding a futuristic element to the otherwise vintage-inspired arrangement. Its intense blue glow spills across the dark tabletop.

The background is illuminated by soft, multicolored ambient lighting, with warm reddish-orange tones transitioning into muted greens. Shadows cast by the turntable and album sleeve add depth to the composition.

Overall, the photograph celebrates the tactile and visual appeal of vinyl collecting. The coordinated blue record, blue album artwork, and electric-blue LED display create a cohesive color palette, while the warm ambient lighting lends the scene a nostalgic, intimate atmosphere reminiscent of the alternative rock and post-punk era of the 1980s.

I was gonna go with MARRS - Pump up the Volume but Kisspower was actually released around 6 months earlier. Few have heard it because it was never going to get an official release with all of those uncleared samples. It's a bit of mashup history.

This is a clean, well-organized vinyl listening setup on top of a black shelving unit.

On the left sits a silver Technics turntable with its clear dust cover raised. A black vinyl record is spinning on the platter, and the tonearm is lowered onto the record, indicating it’s currently playing. The turntable has a sleek, modern design with a brushed metal finish.

Behind and to the left are a few music-themed collectibles: two miniature electric guitars on stands, a small retro-style boombox model, and a dark helmeted figurine, adding personality to the setup.

To the right, the vinyl sleeve on display is for
Blue Monday by New Order.
The iconic cover features concentric colored rings radiating from a red center on a black background, designed to resemble a stylized floppy disk—one of the most recognizable designs in music packaging.

Below the sleeve is a compact LED audio visualizer with colorful square lights arranged like equalizer bars, glowing in different colors and heights, likely reacting to the music being played.

The shelving unit beneath holds a collection of records or box sets arranged vertically, with bright, varied colors—reds, blues, purples, and greens—adding a vibrant backdrop.

Overall, it’s a stylish, thoughtfully arranged vinyl listening station that blends high-quality audio gear with visual flair and music culture.

Day 14: A type of weather in the title. RHCP - Snow (Hey Oh). #rhcp #snowheyoh #davidsmonthofmusic #musicchallenge #musicsky #vinylcollection www.youtube.com/watch?v=yuFI...

This is a close-up of a turntable in action, with a vinyl record spinning under warm red lighting. The motion blur on the record creates a striking circular pattern of red reflections, giving the scene a dynamic, almost hypnotic feel.

At the center label of the record, you can make out the title “HOT CHILI PEPPERS SNOW”, indicating it’s the Red Hot Chili Peppers single “Snow (Hey Oh)”. Off to the lower right, the record sleeve or insert is visible, clearly listing:

“Snow (Hey Oh)”
“Funny Face” (as a B-side)
