Ah, I had clocked the shield moving in the images, but wrongly assumed he'd magnetised it...

You'd have to ask Woody! I've not built a Battlesuit, never mind a Riptide. It's a great looking kit mind.

Woody announcing his arrival into the hobby with a *checks notes* XV104 Riptide Battlesuit?! 👏👏👏 #WarhammerCommunity #Nerdlings

I got the recent Old World Orc MTO. But I think this is the only Greenskin I have painted of late. A Hobgoblin Sneaky Git!

It's a great scheme. Absolutely crackin' job on her face too! 👏

As this was a timed test model, I relied on the Nuln Oil to provide some definition around the eyes from the blue armour. Then the White Scar 'dot' to sell the overall effect. No blending or mixing paints. Hope this makes sense!

Unlike mine, atleast yours looks as if they've done some fighting! You've done a great job on the chips on the pauldrons/greaves. 👏 I did my Ultramarine as a quick test, so it's not my usual method for eyes - BASE - Mephiston Red WASH - Nuln Oil LAYER - Evil Sunz Scarlet LAYER - Wild Rider Red

Cheers Chris. I paint Warhammer to relax and enjoy the process. So it was a different vibe going against the clock!

Wonderful looking unit/paint job! 👏👏 I'm more into my metal/4th Edition Empire. But this era of plastic Empire was fantastic also.

How the hell are we talking about the festive season already... 😅 Yes, @hudson077.bsky.social has dragged me down the Bolt Action rabbit hole. So I can see a wee Panzer on the horizon for the challenge!

...finished the Sherman! Walked into Warlord HQ and saw the competition. 😯 Really love the historical/realistic painting style. It's gonna' take some practice.

I also love WFB 5th Edition! Plus, 40k 2nd/3rd Edition. Spend most of my time going after all the miniatures I wanted as a kid. Also a big fan of Chaos Dwarfs. Either big hats or no hats! 🎩

I'm just about to have a crack at my first WWII miniature, for a painting competition at Warlord Games HQ. Definitely a painting style I haven't tried before... May give me inspiration for your Festive Tank Challenge! 🎄

I've been thinking about picking this up for myself Tom! Did you get round to painting it?

110

Nick @warpphantoms.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

I'm a product of my time with a love for 90s Warhammer. Green felt battlemats, hills and cardboard terrain, etc. But this is different gravy! Looking forward to seeing more/having a go myself at some WWII miniatures.

010

Nick @warpphantoms.bsky.social · 31/07/2026

Starting to dip my toes into WWII miniatures. This is absolutely stunning Joe! 👏
