Open source is getting extra interesting.

Presenting a digital ID to TSA from the Wallet app is greatly improved. I’m using my drivers license and the present without review solved the UX issue I was having with it. Works flawlessly now.

To propel forward sometimes you must leave something behind. Lighten the load.

I haven’t received a call about my car warranty in a while. They called me more than my parents.

Did you do stuff today?

Called it a long time ago that we would need a lot of AI models. It’s math’d language so you basically need a DEI policy for AI models.

Last seen at Kroger.

Warcop @warcop.com · 04/09/2026

Have you noticed that grocery store registers put tomatoes under the vegetable category. That’s a certain kind of annoying.

Hey @pfrazee.com where does Bluesky stand on an “No AI” app toggle that would effectively be implementing watermarking verification against C2PA manifests? User story: Don’t ever show me AI generated videos or images.

I’ve tried TSA digital wallet, phone tap, a few times now. The user experience is slightly odd if you have Face ID. Because it’s a double click, Face ID, and the way you have to position the phone you can’t get face id unlock. The IDEMIA machine needs a slight redesign. Anyone else used it?

Pretty much. PTP and Multicast distribution are unique things to Media and AV network engineers.

110

Warcop @warcop.com · 19/07/2026

AV distribution is happening on the campus though, and it’s on a separate network, like OT. It’s an interesting problem statement about PTP because it’s there, but the Enterprise campus network engineers don’t want to deal with it, from my perspective. Increasing costs and complexity.

Warcop @warcop.com · 19/07/2026

As an Enterprise Network Engineer - do you know or care about PTPv1 or PTPv2 in the design of your campus network?

Anyone else seen these things? ConX-SFP an SFP Console Server for OOB. PC in an SFP. I'm basically calling it a BadSFP, but in reality this is all a lot of people need for TLS reverse tunnel to a serial port. www.wetatronics.com

The pendulum swings in both directions. New force applied makes it swing harder back the other way. It is an inevitability.

Root of trust. An interesting concept. We call it a root as if roots cannot be uprooted.

It’s kinda easy to find super stressful network engineering jobs. I saw one the other day that doesn’t pay near enough, as compared to the mental stress it would put on you.

I’m not at Cisco Live. First time I’ve missed it in a very long time. More than a decade. I’ve gotten lots of text messages, and honestly loving comments about me not being there. It makes me appreciate how many of YOU have become important people in my life. #Networkers

It creates a false sense of needing to spend to extract value. I think it’s bait. Likely causes overspending in some people.
