This is my actual realest ride or die, one flesh one end answer. The pool scene in Gideon the Ninth and then the climax when they fight side by side at the end into that final beat at end of the book rewrote me and I cannot rest until I know how it all ends for them.

I took myself to Cal Anderson Park in Cap Hill in Seattle last week because it was a long, cool, greengold spring day and I needed to find joy. CalAn is full of life; people, their dogs, play, sun. It is especially full of queer & trans folk. Hell, I bet we outnumber other people a lot of the time.

Just devoured the back 2/3rds of Search and Destroy, a grimy, gory cyberpunk trilogy by Atsushi Kaneko, based on Tezuka’s Dororo. Not only is the action great, the art & world gorgeous in its scathing savagery, but it is the angriest book I’ve read in a long time It wears it on its snarling sleeve
