I don't have pics of frogs but these are recent photos from the park near me.

A hawk of some type (possibly a Cooper's hawk) perched high in a tree

Technically, these are my parents' pets but I love them like they were my own.

I've read several tributes about Jim and this was one of the best so far. I had the pleasure of meeting him 10 yrs ago at an event in Chicago. I love everything space related and was so excited to talk with him. He was such a wonderful gentleman. Note the Saturn rocket on his tie. 😉

Photo with Jim Lovell from 20 years ago. He's sporting a tie with a Saturn rocket on it.

I keep coming back to this meme but I'm having trouble with the start again as of late.

Meme that says:
Get up.
Dust off.
Yell Fuck.
Start again.

This was my first thought when I heard the news.

Two photos are shown of JD Vance. 1st one is of him holding a broken trophy and says "Hosts his home state Buckeyes after they win the college football championship--Trophy falls apart the moment he touches it." The 2nd one is of him sitting with the Pope and says "Diplomatically pressures the Vatican into meeting with Pope Francis on Easter Sunday--Pope Francis dies twelve hours later."

Saw these owlets today on a walk through the park and it made my day. Getting out into nature keeps me strong.

Photo of two great horned owlets huddling together in a tree.

Quote post with a picture you took in a national park.

A Joshua tree (yucca brevifolia) is pictured with blue skies and puffy clouds above.

Each of us needs to do what we can...little efforts are better than no efforts.

(To One Who Doubts the Worth of Doing Anything If You Can't Do Everything)

You say the Little efforts that I make will do no good: they never will prevail to tip the hovering scale where Justice hangs in balance.

I don't think I ever thought they would. But I am prejudiced beyond debate in favor of my right to choose which side shall feel the stubborn ounces of my weight.

In honor of what would have been Janey Godley's 64th birthday today (Jan 20), let's remember her for expressing what many of us believe to be true.

I watched this in late July and it was definitely an eye opener. It made me determined to get more involved this year's election.

Photo of the TV screen at the end showing the message that says: Polling shows that a strong majority of Americans reject Christian Nationalism outright. But preserving our democracy depends on the active participation of all citizens.

I need a stronger word than hate!

Stronger words than hate:
Abhor
Loathe
Detest
Abominate

I feel like my outrage exhaustion has already started and he's not even in office yet. I will stay in the fight but it is going to be more challenging than the first time around. 🤬
