The fact is that Israel is committing genocide. Nothing to discuss after that.

Colonisers are so confused - always trying to defend the indefensible.

If I want history lessons - I would or take them from a genocide denialism. Thank you & go & impose your sadism elsewhere / not interested in the asylums inmates

I support the 1948 universal declaration of human rights - I have no interest in the monotheists cults based on ignorance, fear & profit. There are more answers in the JWST than all of the rantings of the rabid religious

I’m against genocide mate / it’s not that difficult to understand / unless you favour genocide & for that there is no help

Not at all / those willing to live in a single democratic state of Palestinians & Israelis where all enjoy equal rights would remain. Much like post-apartheid South Africa - where those white South Africans unwilling to live in a democratic dispensation left.

Hamas is armed non-state actor resisting the violence of the colonial state. The colonisers should leave / that would end the violence.

Wallace Mayne @wallacemayne.bsky.social · 23/06/2026
To compare the violence of the colonised as comparable to the violence of the coloniser was clumsy. One is justified / the other is not.

I’m against justifying a colonial enterprise and denigrating an indigenous people’s right to resist colonisation - as recognised by international law. Not that the colonisers give a flying fuck for international & humanitarian law - as clearly evidenced since 1948.

I’m very much in favour of reparations for the Atlantic slave trade. Maybe you could extrapolate how the colonisation of Palestine is related to the industrialisation of slavery. Apart from both being a consequence of European colonisation & exploitation.

Iran is more transparent regarding its nuclear program than Israel. Israel has threatened to use its nuclear weapons on numerous occasions. The West allowing Israel to commit genocide is giving Israel permission to use their nuclear weapons.

Starmer’s complicity in Genocide is reason enough

They complain about everything, including geography & being situated next to Europe. It’s 10 years today since they voted to impose economic sanctions against themselves & then they complain about a stagnant economy. Stupid is as stupid does.

The war crimes committed by Hamas & Hezbollah pale into insignificance compared to the colonial Israeli state.

That’s the thing about empire - the colonies understand “Rome” much better than “the Romans” - as we have suffered its vicissitudes & inhumanity for generations. There are concerns for the Thucydides trap, mixed with a dash of Gramsci, but schadenfreude kept us laughing long before Trump

Yup - a major factor for the formation of Boko Haram was climate change pitching pastoralists against small-scale farmers competing for arable land & pasture. Arguably the first armed non-state actor precipitated by climate change - the religious fundamentalist part was opportunism.

Some of it relates to an Iranian weapons purchase from the US that was never honoured because of the Shah’s removal in 1979.

That’s what the marines do - protect capital. “War is a Racket,” authored by Smedley D Butler, former US Marine Corps major-general & two time medal of honour recipient.

There is a fascinating project in Australia developing cardboard drone swarms (impervious to radar detections). Very cheap & effective weaponary. 21st century Agincourt. Easily transferable technology. The profit margins are very slim so the military industrial complex shies from it.

“War is the continuation of politics by other means.” Von Clauswitz. The West just ditches diplomacy & does war for war’s sake. Carl would be horrified. What is your Defence Review Colonel Blimp?

Diplomacy - which the West ditched long ago through its military arrogance & refusal to learn from its subsequent defeats - is less expensive & more effective. Maybe the warmongering West should give diplomacy a chance.

Greens should nationalise the arms industry that high production costs are for profit & not utility. Ensuring defence of sovereignty, rather than defence of profit. Slash the Royal Navy, it’s a redundant service in the drone/missile era. A coast guard is much more cost efficient & effective.

83% of Scotland’s rural land is privately owned. 50% of Scotland’s private rural land is owned by 408 people. Beautiful for the very few.

Americans have more important things to do - you know, like drinking the kool-aid in the “greatest country in the world”. “Land of the fee. Home of the knave.” Gore Vidal

When the US strategic fuel reserve is depleted within a month or two & fuel prices surge / Israel will discover the only friends they have are the genocide whores they have bought & paid for with US taxpayer money. 🍿

The crucial difference? Israel has nukes & does genocide. Which does not apply to Iran. Israel & apartheid South Africa in 1979 jointly tested a nuke in the south atlantic. I like the Trump deal. It’s about time a US president called out Israel for its gross & disgusting inhumanity.
