As the year comes to a close, it is a time for reflection, remembering the ups and downs, personal losses and beautiful moments with your loved ones. I hope 2024 has been a good year for you, and you are already making new plans. I can't wait to see the sea again in 2025! #naturism #fkk #nudebeach

It's funny that naturists of the 50s already took the classic "end-of-nudist-area"-sign shots. Photo taken at Montalivet, where the Centre Hélio-Marin (CHM), the first naturist vacation center in Europe, was created in 1950. It exists until today. #naturism #Montalivet #naturistcamping #nudism #FKK

Before I became active as a naturist on SM, I wasn't aware of my privilege to live in a country where naturism is widely tolerated. People might frown on my lifestyle, but I can show my face without fear of negative social/legal consequences. How is it where you live? #naturism #normalizenudity

My own Christmas family gathering today will look a lot more "textile" than this cartoon, and this probably won't change in my lifetime. Still I love to meet everyone, of cause. Enjoy some time with your loved ones, no matter if clothed or nude! #naturism #normalizingnudity #naturistfamily

Only the sky is the Limit - places like the coast of Poel Island, where you can experience the total freedom to walk naked everywhere, are where I enjoy practicing naturism the most. Exploring the Island in the nude, like Robinson, feels amazing. #naturism #fkk #nakedinnature #clothesfree

In 1929, the "Lichthof Jungmöhl" at the Plauen Lake in Mecklenburg became the first holiday resort for naturists in Germany. Accomodation in the so-called "light huts" might not have been comfortable, but families could enjoy gardening, gymnastics, swimming and hiking in the nude. #naturism #FKK

Someone asked me if I'm getting a "great thrill" from hiking naked. In fact, it's quite the opposite: naturism is not like streaking or some kind of exhibitionism, which plays with the risk of being seen. Enjoying nature in solitude, without clothes, is pure relaxation and calm for me. #naturism

I have often found a very special sense of unity and camaraderie among naturists, when I visited nude beaches, camping grounds and venues. I think the shared vulnerability of being naked cultivates strong bonds and a greater openess. Photo by Louis Boilley, Montalivet (France, 1965) #naturism

This photo of naturists playing around joyfully in a German lake (c. 1930) reminds me of what is so great about enjoying social nudity: to feel free in in a safe space with others, accepted as you are, regardless of how you look or who you are. #naturism #fkk #naturisthistory #skinnydipping

The Cow-Face Pose is a great shoulder, chest, and hip opener. It also stretches the glutes and can be a great remedy for lower back pain. With its strong energising effect, it is a great pose to include in your morning routine. #nudeyoga #nakedyoga #naturism #clothesfree #bodyfreedom

Naturists are not naked all the time. 😉 Hiking through the Wadden Sea is a very unique experience. During the ebb tide the North Sea retreats for miles for a few hours, almost to the horizon, making it possible to walk far into the tidal flats. But make sure to return in time... #naturism

Naturism helped me to break free from body shame. When you experience non-sexual social nudity for the first time and understand that your naked body does not need to be stigmatized, sexualized and surrounded by shame, this feels incredibly liberating, empowering and healing. #naturism

During the pandemic quite a few of my colleagues were joking (?) about being able to work naked from home. Not sure, how many actually did. But even some of my non-naturist friends enjoy being nude at home sometimes. So, you might have more "naked neighbours" than you think...😉 How about you?

The health benefits of "forest bathing", or "shinrin-yoku" as it is called in Japan, are scientifically proven. The soothing atmosphere of the forest equally affects both body and mind, and even more so when you take this bath naked. #forestbathing #nakedinnature #naturism #nudism #FKK

You won't find this sign on any nude beach or naturist venue, but this message is just the vibe I always receive, when I'm enjoying non-sexual social nudity with other naturists. In my family, nudity was kept behind closed bathroom doors. Having a good friend, who grew up in a naturist family, I can see the positive impact this can have on your own body image and your self-esteem. I am happy for every kid who is raised this way. www.upworthy.com/stories-of-w...

The skin is our largest sensory organ, yet we keep it covered up, wrapped in cloth, most of the time. Isn't this like walking blindfolded? When I am in nature, I want to feel and experience it with all senses I have, not just see it. That's why I hike naked. #naturism #hikenaked #nakedinnature

When I'm at the sea, enjoying a naked morning run is my favourite way to start the day. I love the feeling of the soft sand under my bare feet and the wind and sun on my skin. To cool off afterwards, I just dive into the sea. What can be more invigorating? #naturism

Naturism is no new movement. People enjoyed social nudity already 100 years ago. This photo was taken around 1930 by Gerhard Riebicke, who portrayed the young "FKK" (free body culture) movement at Germany's Baltic Coast. A few years later the carefree joy of FKK vanished in Hitler's fascist "Reich".
