Just moved in, Massachusetts? Your landlord should give you a "statement of condition" within 10 days of your lease starting or receiving your security deposit, whichever is later. You get 15 days to add to it. Documenting any damage now, like a scuffed floor, protects your deposit later.

DHS has claimed that children detained with their parents can be released to a safe family member, but Liam’s mother lives in Austin and is ready to take him, and ICE is still refusing to release him to her. It really feels like they are trying to make an example out of a little kid.

No one helped. My elderly relative who saw this said she was screaming and crying. She was confused and didn't know what to do. She learned today that ICE has been busy in the Oranges. Be vigilant. Be aware and please report right away.

They are promoting keeping people out. If you do not drive, you can't get to work, school, stores...

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion is good. I refuse to use the acronym. In this case, we are talking about transportation. Having diverse methods of travel should be the norm. We should not be forced to use a vehicle for everything. Traffic sucks because we are clogging the roads.

The U.S. government requires visa applicants to make all of their social media accounts fully public or risk being denied entry. This is straight out of 1984. Your right to privacy doesn’t just disappear at the border for millions of people, it disappears before they ever set foot here.

I was so proud to see the names of registered voters in my family during Reconstruction, then to see what happened to them when we were deserted by the federal government. I remember my father telling me about how he prepared for poll tests. Our votes are power; that is why they try to steal them.

This woman sells wonderful gifts. She is always so kind. Last week, I told her how her shop was a place of joy and that I always felt safe and welcome there. Today, I rushed over and found her behind a locked door, crying as she reported what happened to the local police. This is not okay.

Today a small business owner called my worker in tears. I over heard her describe how a man saw her pride flag and "no ice" sign and decided to intimidate her. He walked inside in plain clothing and told her that he was an ICE agent and those illigals had no right to be here.

Two weeks ago I was lucky enough to return to Paris as a tourist and watched locals of all ages and abilities take advantage of the evolving infastructure. I'm a Planner in The States and to be honest, I'm tired. I'm tired of fighting those that want to maintain the states quo of the last 70 year.

I hate every time I hear someone say this. It is BS. It is an insult to renters as well as landlords. There are so many reasons people rent and yeah, sometimes people stay a year or two and many more times people stay out and set up roots.
