Yep, it’s time for a whole lot more taking of lanes. Remind drivers that bicycles are traffic too! The law says so! My state law also says that you must keep to the right side of the “traffic lane“ and points out that this does not include the gutter-pan or the shoulder!

And that difference bugged me all the way through my morning shower: so I went back and looked again. I believe this equation show shows that amp-hours is the correct unit of comparison because it factors out the difference between the 50V battery and the 800V battery. So something like 1400 bikes.

And the answer is “it’s confusing“, depending on whether you examine amp-hours or watt-hours! For comparison, my big fat-tire E-bike has a 20 amp-hour battery; my little 20-inch E-bike like the one in the photo has a 10 amp power battery. That gives the big one a 1kWh battery. So 123-1344 bikes?

Seriously, chainsaw! This trail defeated me on Thursday. Even if I’d had a chainsaw, cutting up a tree every 10 yards was not gonna be a very good plan for a 12 mile trail… Turned around after 200 yards.
