Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 26/03/2026First world problem perhaps but I have 6 mins until my train gets here. Had a crap nights sleep and am desperate for a coffee. Maybe next time. 020
Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 19/11/2025I always enter at these doors as it’s one of the very few spots I can actually put my bike. I understand I won’t have priority over someone in a scooter or wheelchair but I find this pretty silly. Either provide for bikes or get rid of silly signs. 000
Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 03/09/2025In a taxi from Adelaide airport and within 2 mins have seen sharrows on a road and now the old peak hour painted bike lane. At least the have Frome Street! 010

Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 15/04/2025Delighted to see amazing new bike infrastructure in my area this morning. 50kph speed limit and several thousand vehicles use this street every day. 😐 11291
Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 05/02/2025Walking to the station and a guy just came way too fast out of his driveway and nearly too me out. It’s ok though, he waved his hand apologetically. 100
Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 31/01/2025Excited that I set the wheels in motion for this over a year ago and now it is actually happening next week. 011
Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 18/12/2024Just in Chicago at the moment. Piecemeal is the only way I can describe the cycling infrastructure. A million miles off all ages and abilities, that’s for sure. This is one of the better bits. 020

Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 27/11/2024Down in G-town yesterday. My first look at Malop Street. I like the trees, seating, wide footpaths. Bike lane and consideration for loading and access for all. Nice big pram without sharp level difference where people need them. Am sure there is the odd unwanted interaction but a decent job. 050
Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 23/11/2024Just popped out to edithvale for an evening out with a few lads. Literally nowhere to park my bike near the pub. Very frustrating. 120

Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 22/11/2024First bus stop bypass I ever designed back when I was TfL. Plumstead Road in London. You may remember this one. @willnorman.co.uk Starting to see a few in oz now. Lots of OTT discussions about lines and signs though. 130
Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 20/11/2024Must admit every time I see this pop up in a design guide it terrifies me. Personally I couldn't design something that pins a rider into a lane whilst someone gets annoyed behind them. Its asking for intimidation or attempts to boot up the inside regardless of signage and space. 220

Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 17/11/2024Local library. E-bikes, cargo bike, bike with trailer and not enough bike stands. Enabling local riding is the low hanging fruit everyone seems to forget about. Commuter riding accounts for about 10% of cycling trips depending where you are. Let’s work on the easy stuff. 131

Doclangers @walkandcycle.bsky.social · 16/11/2024This new strategic cycling corridor map is a big improvement.
