This article now has page numbers! 🤩 Using data from 28 countries between 1980 and 2021 I find that parties polarize during economic downturns. Further exploring the mechanisms, I show that they do so in reaction to changing voter priorities and grievances. www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10....
