Always exciting to see the new UI design. That replaces the 5 prior new UI designs. That all live on in some form. Thus prompting this 6th one to unwind the other 5. Anyone who may be listening, please give us the strength this time.

I wonder if Lego paper bags are increasing support costs / dissatisfaction with lost pieces. Not transparent enough and it's tough to feel small pieces hanging out in the corners.

Just do the thing. Don't delegate, nor do, stuff that needn't be done. Arguing about models and token costs for things that shouldn't be delegated/done, nah son.

So those double-wide reading thimbles are not annoying when trying to turn pages? I didn't think holding the page open was the trick... the motions that put thumb in the wrong place over & over are the trick. Motion being more difficult has not solved anything?

When explaining in chat to be careful, saying "Careful with that <thing>, Eugene" takes the focus of being careful, with the thing, and puts it squarely on "who in this thread is Eugene?" Careful with that "using memes as brakes", Eugene.

The bowl of Halloween gum survives another year. We're never around, neighbors t-or-t elsewhere, so we've put this gum we got for a kids party years ago out every year. I try one, every year, they're still fine, but they were never good. 6 more pieces, 6 more years?

True, although the hint in that proceeding room made this one really obvious for me the first time. I also like the sequences where the "wildlife" gives a hint about the action required, rather than the weapon, to make progress. youtu.be/oNIPE3wk0fA?...

Super Metroid's Greatest Moment
Or maybe it's the worst moment. Super Metroid is much more than its structure. Its maze-like map is filled with memorable moments that make the player question what else is possible. My favorite…

So are there completeness of information thresholds that define "assume" vs. "presume" vs. "know?" I'm going with 1%, 2%, and 4% (but that feels high)

Smart avoidance of DRY is fine, but when AI spits out repetitive code, and comment, and readme, and test that repeats the code rather than prove anything, GTFO I said DRY MF'r.

I had the distinct honor of being the very first person to donate to Radio Boise. I hadn't even met Jeff yet, but I knew what a boon community radio could be. To see the current management trash the first amendment is infuriating. They have seen the last of my money.
We have become aware of inflammatory comments posted by one of our volunteer programmers on social media. We want to make it clear that these comments do not reflect the values or position of Radio Boise.
As a nonprofit community radio station, Radio Boise is reliant on volunteers to fuel our mission of service to our community. This volunteer acted without authorization and in direct violation of Radio Boise policies. All Radio Boise volunteers are expected to uphold our code of conduct, which requires treating all people with dignity and respect in all communications, including social media.
While Radio Boise strongly supports free speech and diverse viewpoints, we do not condone inflammatory or violent rhetoric of any kind. The volunteer in question has been removed from our programming effective immediately.
Radio Boise will continue to uphold the highest standards as we serve our community by providing independent, responsible broadcasting. We value your continued trust as we move forward together.

One thing @Tesla could do better w/ screen is label climate controls. All these years and I still don't understand the nuance between the 3 defroster-ish symbols; that they're the same symbols all manufacturers use doesn't attack the issue.

What's with the new ad format that starts with half a second of uncanny AI-alley, then switches straight to the same old gameplay video for one of those shitty machine gun firehose mobile games? (They figured out our eyes like the weird stuff?)

Norway sucks for programmers. It's not what you think. The country code completely breaks the official YAML 1.1 spec. NO evaluates into Boolean false...regardless of case. This can cause cryptic, hard to debug errors; especially in YAML-heavy environments like Kubernetes.
