I've also written informal commentary on this before, along two sort of vectors: First, the "Isn't Russia COOL!" shit we saw back around 2010 or so. Videos of Russians being wild, Russia looking like vodka-soaked hillbilly party, always with the connotation that these Russians were "free."

Of course every experience is an attempt to optimize, so what can we learn from this? I've restarted Skyrim and had the exact same encounter 248 times in the last two days. Every time I play, kill the foresworn, and reset. But the AI knows it can't trust me now. It won't be vulnerable again.
