Western colonialism and capitalism have so atrophied people's imagination that they can't even conceive of different ways to organize society. There is nothing natural or definitive of this current moment. Better worlds are possible. Maybe read this

Deep truths about transformers being revealed

A screenshot of a tweet from soup the scumlet @rottingsoup

It reads as follows:

yknow to add my last point to add to that whole "gundam vs transformers" is that the difference between gundam fans and transformers fans is that fans of gundam are mecha fans and fans of transformers are robot furries

Nice argument, unfortunately for you I have depicted myself as the chad Nilgai and you as the ridiculous, gangly Gerenuk.

A beefy, majestic Nilgai stanced up facing the camera. It is massive, broad antelope species.

A willowy, lithe gerenuk standing on its hind legs propped up against a bush, looking at the camera with its tiny head and outsized ears. Its long neck is nearly as thin as its stick like limbs. It is an oddly proportioned antelope species also known as the giraffe gazelle.

If anyone wants a peek into what Dungeon Crawler Carl is actually about beyond isolated excerpts of the humor:

An screenshot excerpt of the blog from the quoted repost. It reads as follows:

It might not sound inspiring or hopeful, but to me that's exactly why this series' popularity matters.
Much like The Hunger Games before it, the central ideas beyond the set dressing and the pop culture references and the talking cat, asks the questions "why do we suffer the indignity of power bludgeoning us" and "can a seemingly hopeless system of exploitation be stopped and if so, how do we do it?" The seeds Katniss Everdeen sowed in pop culture are now mature and bearing the fruit Carl is fortified by. The similarity between these stories is a continuing conversation about our real-world agency in fixing even one thing that's plaguing humanity. For too long we've rested with the idea that good will ultimately prevail but what if that happening depends on a person descending into something primal and wresting that victory for humanity from the hands of power through force? This is the same struggle Star Wars depicts, we've just long since lost the fight against those who would worship the Empire over empathizing with the Rebels.

I finished this book today. I found the style of narration to be challenging initially, but this book is so damn sweet and beautiful. What an incredible work.

The cover of the book, Tomb of Sand by Geetanjali Shree, translated by Daisy Rockwell. The cover is a blue sky background bifurcated into a surreal mirror of each half with multicolor vadcular trunks and branches and a woman in a pink and purple sari. The lower image of the woman is using a cane. Each half also features a different flapping bird.

The cover also notes the following:

Winner
The 2022
International
Booker
Prize

"I mean, Tanigaki is the cutest of them all," Yeah, it's just science.

A manga panel of Tanigaki Genjirou. He is a large handsome man with striking eyebrows and beard. He is blushing and the buttons on his shirt have exploded off, exposing his muscled chest and lavish chest hair.
