Opening its doors in 1931, Dorking Halls is home to the Leith Hill Musical Festival, held annually in the spring. Vaughan Williams had close ties to the town, and a bronze statue of him, baton poised, by artist William Fawke, was unveiled in 2001 by Ursula Vaughan Williams.
