(1/3) if you need to make a yosemite/el capitan usb on modern macos, get dmg from support.apple.com/en-us/102662, mount it, open InstallMacOSX.pkg with suspicious package and mount the included InstallESD.dmg (click on "Contains full installer for OS X ..." to do that). then...

it does run, but its usability is questionable. without applications open ventura feels more or less snappy, and even when playing a youtube video at 1080p works quite fluidly, but every now and then the system locks up for a few seconds. still quite impressed how it turned out though!

hyped to try out ventura oclp on this bad boi now that big sur is borderline unusable in 2026, have no idea what to expect since this machine has 4 gb of ram
