A post from the official twitter account of final fantasy xiv composer Masayoshi Soken, @SOKENsquareenix, regarding the newly announced Trail to the Heavens: Final Fantasy XIV Original Soundtrack. It reads:
(Translated from Japanese)
“The OST featuring soundtracks from Patch 7.1 to Patch 7.5 is finally confirmed for release!!
Of course, all the Arcadia tracks are included too.
For tracks already released in other titles (like "Echoes of Vana'diel" from the Alliance Raid, for example), normally we'd say "go pick up that soundtrack instead...." but this is an FFXIV OST, after all! So we've prepared and included everything!
...We wanted to do that, but honestly, trying to fit all those tracks in full this time would blow way past the disc capacity limit....
But we didn't want to give up!!!
So, we've gone ahead and included those tracks as MP3s on the disc.
And that's why, while the main set has 79 tracks this time, we've thrown in the previously released ones too for a whopping total of 151 tracks—a total blowout disc!!
