@clkagmi.bsky.social Just a quick note to say I’ve read Firstborn. Excellent writing, strong style, and some timely stories. After The Upload is especially chilling and a great morality tale. I’d call it the best short story I’ve read in quite some Time.

JUST FOR FUN: I'm no artist. This is a piece of bismuth (I got at a rock shop as inspiration) and toy astronauts using power point and a photo filter app. Not fancy. The image might get tucked into my short story NO THING BESIDE REMAINS (a line from Ozymandias). It has a 40's pulp magazine feel.

Our vacation 12 years ago cut short by major fire, lowering and preparing the lifeboats for boarding, standing on deck 3AM to 7AM, and limping into the repair yards. Oh, and the bus from the airport to cruise parking broke down on the freeway. GOOD TIMES
