Food retail profits set a records $6.3b in 2024, more than 2x pre-COVID norms. The profit margin (as % of revenue) has also doubled even as profits in other industries fell. So the @ndp.ca proposals to bring down food prices & profits are timely. My take: www.progressive-economics.ca/2025/03/yes-...

Santa supports striking postal workers! Thank you to the postal workers who are still connecting our kids with Santa during their strike. If you’re in Toronto stop by their line at commissioners with a Santa letter and solidarity (& if you can, some hot beverages or treats for folks out in the cold)
Drawing of Santa with text that reads: Your postie elves present: Letters to Santa. Drop off at 600 or 675 Commissioners St. wait 15-20 min for reply or leave phone number for call back. Please also include home address in case we can deliver.

Before the College was established 30 years ago, there were public demonstrations from midwifery clients calling for midwifery to become regulated. The CBC Archives have posted a 1985 report where reporter Susan Harada talks to midwives and their clients in Ontario: www.cbc.ca/player/play/...

Hearing a range of democratic views from left to centre-right is not an “echo chamber” or “information bubble” just because you excluded the far-right Creating space for conspiracy theorists, bigots and literal Nazis to yell at and berate you is not a serious benchmark for diversity of thought
