Discord just banned me for posting my Twitch emote list. I will, of course, not be purchasing Nitro.

Developer PSA: If you're not going to honor notification settings, don't give them at all. Nothing against this channel, I'm sure they're great. My annoyance is with Twitch.

A screenshot of the twitch notification settings. A category "Recommended Content" is disabled, which contains "channels, clips, and categories that you might like to watch."

I have done some reflecting and I will also make an exception for the My Games subdirectory. At least you're trying to be organized.

If your application writes to %userprofile%/Documents, fuck you*. *: unless the user chooses the path C:/programdata and %appdata% exist for a REASON this has been your annual stop-writing-to-my-documents-god-damnit tirade thanks

It sucks when you have to rewrite a file from scratch, I had the same thing happen with VS a while ago. I guess it didn't finish actually writing the data before it crashed and the file was filled with NUL :(

free anime idea: it starts with We Like to Party by the Vengaboys. Then, on the final line "the vengabus is coming" it runs over someone in the street. The anime is an isekai. Your problem from there on.

Nightbot is managing my Discord moderators despite not being connected in the dashboard. Wanted to go ask for guidance but to talk in the nightdev discord you need to verify your phone. Even to get help with a goddamn discord bot I need a carrier phone subscription.

Apparently I got distracted halfway through redoing the credits page and it was an absolute mess. That has been resolved and now the credits are a lot less of an absolute mess.

Was making a chat widget for stream but found out that the YouTube Data API's limits are so low they might as well be nonexistent. You get less than an hour reading chat messages every second and apparently the streamList api disconnects after 10 seconds. Useless.

TIL Visual Studio deletes the AutoRecover file before it finishes writing your actual file. Oh, the misery.

A screenshot of a text editor. The entire file is NUL characters, which denote a value of zero. The file is destroyed.

Normally I suggest sentry gun but that seems inadvisable in this situation.

Does it also change your name to Doug or are you the only Dougn't?

This is your friendly PSA that FL Studio can save its .flp files as .zip files, which can greatly reduce the size of your projects, especially if you're like me and feverishly use the Save Incremental button instead of the Save button

Surprisingly often I click the names of people featured on the front page of VGen, and the featured work is not in their portfolio. I just want to look at the art man :(

++: It makes it significantly easier to farm if you want that or to avoid if you're trying to get through quickly / get to a save The game looks fire though
