Yesterday was Ukraine's Independence Day. That word - independence - feels very concrete when someone is trying to erase your country with missiles. To keep living and creating things that outlast destruction. Enjoy Wasm3 v0.9.0: 🔗https://github.com/wasm3/wasm3/releases/tag/v0.9.0 > далі буде.

You work between alerts. This becomes "normal". It should never be normal. Across Ukraine, hundreds of civilians are being killed every month. In July alone, the UN verified at least 437 civilians killed and 2,610 injured. They are people like me. Burn in hell, russians.

Today I am still here, and russians are still attacking my hometown, #Kyiv. Air raid alerts, Shaheds, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles. Night after night, you learn to tell what is flying above you by the sound - and how much time you may have before impact.

🎉 Wasm3 v0.9.0 is out! 🎉 It is the first major update in FIVE years. That sounds like a software story. It isn't. Four years ago, I wrote that my house had been destroyed by russians, and that I had to put #Wasm3 into minimal maintenance. The war never went away.

Did you know, ViperIDE works even without the internet? Once loaded, you can open it while offline, or even install it as an icon on a desktop.

wasm2mpy enables running many languages on #MicroPython embedded systems (such as #ESP32, #RaspberryPi Pico, #STM32, and #nRF52) with near-native performance. I've added #RISC-V support a few days ago, check it out! github.com/vshymanskyy/... #WebAssembly #RV32 #WASM @kripken.com

Nice use of wasm2c (compile WebAssembly to C) by Volodymyr Shymanskyy: github.com/orgs/micropy... This lets you run a wasm file as a MicroPython module, anywhere MicroPython can run, and fast.

Back in 2021, I experimented with the concept of embedded-wasm-apps. This allowed to run any of the WebAssembly supported languages on microcontrollers: Recently, I discovered that MicroPython has ...
