I saw all of Columbo back in the early 2010s. What struck me was how cinematic its best episodes were and that each one had its own style. This scene is one of the moments I remembered most.

One of Carpenter's finest and a great close to his apocalypse trilogy.

Probably not. It's easier to get angry when a screen shouts it at you. I also think it's a credit to Carpenter that, in my opinion, he improved on the book (I prefer the car being inherently evil instead of just haunted) and made what is still a strong and character driven horror movie.

Haven't seen this but have seen Just Before Dawn and Squrim by the same director. Just Before Dawn is super good and a hidden slasher gem.

There is no answer? I think the answer is The Blob.

Invasion of the Body Snatchers (either the 56 or 78 version) where the human characters are slowly replaced by Muppets until only the leads remain.

I'm here to defend the honor of Friday the 13th Part 2! And shamelessly plug my editing reel. Happy Halloween! youtu.be/a2DnOdet6so?...

It's kind of a bleak movie. She goes there to recover from her trauma and loses all her friends in the process to said trauma. Part 3 is goofy but it's still a favorite of mine.

We're kind of opposites when it comes to Friday in that the first four are the only ones I really like. I see the appeal of the later ones, but for me, the simple charm and rougher feel of the first four just hits differently. It's like smores over a campfire. Perfect as a campfire ghost story.

I learned this from my video editing prof. 'If you don't have it in 3 places, you don't have it.' Glad you got everything back.

I like how in Assembly they do catch the Beast. It's really validating for Ripley that her plan actually works when people listen and work together. And then Golic lets it out. (Trapped by facts and reason, released by superstition)

This version to me is just as great as the first two and one of my favorite trilogy endings ever

Atheris Murin is one of the main characters of the Ring Sky saga. I love that he learns how to care. While initially bitter about his own failed ambitions and apathetic to others' suffering, he later claims a human (a 'Lander' in this universe) as a blood brother and tells him 'You are my family.'

Thanks to @kibacreations.art for this amazing piece for one of the characters from the Ring Sky series. Thanks so much!

Aye. And that's the worst part. Not just pet owners but parents. The tragedy is the suffering they inflict on those around them for their warped sense of pride.

For a lot of folks, evidence just doesn't matter. Whether it be pride or a sense of identity, anything that contradicts that, no matter how rock solid, they will never acknowledge. You can't save everyone, especially when they're convinced they don't need saving.

Severin went above and beyond for the Threads 4k. This new remaster is like experiencing the nightmare again for the first time. I unironically love this film, and am hard pressed to imagine a better release than this. #threads #severinfilms

One of Brooks' most underrated. Hitchcock sent Brooks a bottle of champagne after seeing it himself.

I'm hoping we get some re-prints that include all your art. The first edition of Gunslinger is so hard to find, and it looks so gorgeous. To me, your art lends a lot of personality to those books.

One of the best remakes ever. The original is perhaps THE definitive 50s drive in classic. There can be real cases made as to why the 88 version is better. Top tier effects. Great script and characters. And it takes no prisoners. See you, Eddie.
