Hi all, my phone is broken and I need to set aside some sufficient funds in order to repair it so I can at least salvage some important data before I have to buy a new phone. Any donation is greatly appreciated!

working w/ ai translation is an actual waste of time. it will never translate in-game terminology properly, which means combing through all of the text two or three more times checking context and terms which already adds to expected crunch. and you can always tell when it's being used.

Everyone will not just
If your solution to some problem relies on “If everyone would just…” then you do not have a solution. Everyone is not going to just. At not time in the history of the universe has everyone just, and they’re not going to start now.

I think Neyuni and Gulool Ja would make really good friends [ #ffxivart │ #art ]

Art of Gulool Ja and Neyuni walking together as they chat in the streets of Solution 9.

art of Gulool Ja and Neyuni playing video games together.
Wuk Lamat and Sphene cheers for Gulool Ja while Neyuni's sisters, Yanna and Eutrope, cheer for her. Eutrope seems confused why both the King of Resolve and the Queen of Reason is at their home, nevertheless she cheers on. Koana seems to have arrived later holding three pizza boxes, taken aback by how the atmosphere in the room has changed compared to when he left the room.

I agree with this, I see it in students, who are terrified of being critical of texts, because they "don't want to be mean" which can lead to them trying to give the benefit of the doubt to some truly awful historical authors, ideas and texts

had this pulled up for my freelancing guide how topical indeed

A screenshot of a tumblr post.

From user radiqueer:
Human relationships are not transactional but they are reciprocal, which I think many of you with your ‘i don’t owe anyone anything’ shtick are too happy to forget.

From user aromanticduck:
Transactional: everything has to be exactly 50/50 all the time, pay me back for the £5 sandwich or buy me something worth exactly £5, I refuse to make an effort for you if there’s nothing in it for me

Reciprocal: you were there for me when I needed help, and I’m going to do the same for you, it doesn’t matter if one of us needs more or is capable of less, because the point is not equivalent exchange but mutual care

Im annoyed with the literacy crisis because im finding that sometimes you can explain something to someone in heavy detail and provide them with reference material and all that will do is make them angrier because they cant comprehend what they were told or read what they were provided.

so in case you're wondering why this is showing up out of nowhere this is twitch using the same tech as the AI stream summary to monitor your stream for you saying this since most people turned off the AI stream summary you can turn this off too by going to Settings -> Stream in your dashboard

a Twitch pop-up window that says "Just say "Twitch, clip that", By using Auto Clips, clips are automatically made by using your stream audio to clip great moments. You can also just say "Twitch, clip that" during stream."

Unironically, I think we need to bring back the term "bishonen" into western anime fandom circles. Why? Because people have proven they can not be trusted with the word "twink". Just because a male presenting & identifying character is incredibly pretty DOES NOT MAKE THEM A TWINK BY DEFAULT!!

I now fervently believe this. Relatedly, I think celebrating good news and embracing joy are equally radical. You have to remember what you’re fighting for. We cannot sustainably organize around sorrow.

you ought to include the followup post which points out that touhou has been doing this the whole time

keeping in mind I don't actually know which touhou games these are from because I've never played a touhou shmup, but

this one says

SELECT MODE

EASY (For people who aren't good at STGs)
NORMAL (Ideal for most People)
HARD (Arcade difficulty)
LUNATIC (For weird people)

this one was properly sourced so I know it's from ten desires.

the difficulty modes are:

Prayer for Health and Long Life
EASY MODE
Hard to die. For those that want to live a long time.

Prayer for Traffic Safety
NORMAL MODE
Let's find a safe road. Here's to a good journey.

Prayer for Business Prosperity
HARD MODE
If you're confident in your abilities, you should be able to make a profit.

Prayer for IT Data Security
LUNATIC MODE
Asking the gods for help is pointless. Don't play this.

another one that says

New Moon / Easy Level / For those who don't play Touhou very much

Crescent Moon / Normal Level / For those who play Touhou oftens

First Quarter Moon / Hard Level / For those who often play STGs

Waxing Gibbous Moon / Lunatic Level / Not suited for anyone

and this one says:

EASY MODE
For Sunday Shooters
For humans with busy lives

NORMAL MODE
For Active Gamers
For people who enjoy these kinds of games

HARD MODE
For Gensokyo Residents
For people that don't fit in the real world

LUNATIC MODE
For the Lost Race
For people who think they're the chosen ones
