Happy Oathbound release day!!! Ofc I went to the store and left with more than one book 🤭 #blackbooksky #booksky

Two books on a desk, one purple (Oathbound by Tracy Deonn) one green (I Got Abducted by Aliens and Now I’m Trapped in a Rom-Com by Kimberly Lemming). The purple has a fierce looking black teen girl wielding purple and red magic. The green book has a red-headed black woman in the arms of a horned alien with a lion and a dinosaur in the background.

‪CIRCE x PHOENIX EXTRAVAGANT Murdered by the Fates, made a god by plot unseen—Ilion only wants to go home. Armed with a lyre and a plucky attitude, to escape the afterworld and defy destiny they must master their fire or burn down the universe and everyone in it they love. #Q #A #F #QuestPit #LGBT

My drawing of the protagonist of my novel, Ilion. They have pale skin and wavy chestnut hair down to their jaw. They're posed like the famous painting "The Fallen Angel" by Alexandre Cabanel, with their head tilted down, brown eyes glaring, a single tear falling from the corner of one eye. One arm crosses in front of their face, hands clenched together. They're wearing a white tunic with a blue belt and matching blue laurels in their hair. In the background, blue fire swirls ominously.

A moodboard showing the pirate (Amir), the princess (Mira), and John.

Amir silhouetted against a cloudy sky with a sword slung over her shoulder and a group of joyful sailors on a pirate ship. She has this quote:

Continue to love
Continue to forgive
Continue to grow

Mira is shown in the reflection of an ornate mirror. She is wearing long white gloves and a pink ballgown with her hair in a natural updo and the lesbian pride flag is subtly depicted over her photo. There is another photo of two girls kissing in the surf at sunset. Mira has this quote:

We looked at each other a little too long to be “just friends”

John is shown with his bare back to the viewer, facing the sea with the trans pride flag subtly depicted over his photo. He also has a close up of iridescent mermaid scales and this quote:

Go bravely, go deeply, or do not go

A grief-torn healer, bent on vengeance against the god who claimed all she loved in death and decay, uses her craft to infiltrate the god’s court—entangling with a haunted heir, plagued by fated dreams of her arrival, who will stop at nothing to unearth her purpose. #questpit #w #f #r #a

The House of Hemlock

A WORK IN PROGRESS

ONE DARK WINDOW meets STARLING HOUSE in this gothic dual POV adult romantic fantasy steeped in grief-torn promises, fate-bound strangers, and simmering tensions-where a house watches, gods scheme, and rot runs deep.

The Opening

There was truth in blood—meant to spill, drain life, stain the earth, and leave death grinning in its wake.
The first gods knew it. They shaped the earth with rivers of it, winding red veins through stone and moss, tangling it into the roots of trees that cracked the sky open with their branches.
Blood was the first language, the thread stitching life to decay, shadow to light. It was the beginning and the end, the thread through all things. It sang louder than prayers and bound tighter than oaths.
It was promise and debt, offering and curse.
The gods demanded it-again and again—until the earth grew slick, not with dew, but with what they were owed.
But even gods forget. They never asked what would become of blood left too long untended.
It rots. It rises. It remembers.

The Vibes

•Cursed magic and creeping rot (One Dark Window)
•Haunted by prophetic visions (A Study in Drowning)
•Nature’s eerie obedience (For the Wolf)
•Gothic atmosphere and simmering tension (Down Comes the Night)
•Sentient manor hiding secrets (Starling House)
•Healing that defies the natural order (The Thirteenth Child)
•Connection to death (Belladonna)

A dark, spooky, nature-inspired gothic mood board

#Questpit! I present to you, for your consideration (and with improved graphics) SUNDERED GALAXY! #W #A #SF

Graphic for a pitch slide, showing a planet, moon with sun peeking out behind moon and starship.
Text reads: "An agents guide to SUNDERED GALAXY"
"A Space Opera Novel and the first of a series, currently standing at 146K words."

On a background of a half shrouded red planet, a block of text reading:
THE PITCH
Last week Anthony was just like like every other average guy. Now he's on a stolen alien warship with a small crew of alien prison escapees, an extra set of skin keeping him alive, and a mysterious and powerful fleet of unknown adversaries after him. All he wants is to just go home.

On top of a background showing a red nebula:
Comp titles listed as NOPHEK GLOSS X FARSCAPE, with title images for each one.

Tropes list, detailing:
•Fish out of water MC
•Space Odyssey
•Befriending the AI Android
•Diverse aliens, locations, FTL travel and space battles
•A galaxy divided by war.

On top of a background of a starry night sky:
An excerpt reading:
"Dozens of such empires die every century, often in the same manner as this. There are thousands of empires, unions, alliances, dominions or nations, or whatever variant of galactic government you'd care to mention, and they all shift and change and die. New ones rise up all the time. They are all like trees in a rain forest, quick to sprout and grow given the right circumstances, quick to fall and die and their corpse scavenged by everything around them."
- Kenam Suldaray, former operative of the confederacy of Vigilant Systems, on the nature of the galaxy.

Aideen's life has been plagued with death. Now, her best friend has been taken by monsters she didn't know existed. Armed with a psychopathic blood-drinker, a neurotic shifter, and the human boy in love with her, she's ready to become the hunter to save Emily. #QuestPit #F #Q

The pitch: when her best friend is taken, Aideen must come to terms with her monstrous lineage and fight against the factions trying to control her powers to save Emily’s life. Except, she didn’t know monsters existed, her supposed powers are sealed away, and the only help she has comes from a psychopathic blood-drinker and neurotic shifter.
Comps: city of bones, a good girl’s guide to murder, the cruel prince, darkfever

Excerpt: heart burns just beneath my skin, pinned and begging to be freed. I can see it in my mind, the chain holding my power back. Monster. I want it. I want to show him a monster.
I reach for that heat; that flare of power, and it rises to meet me. I pull it to my surface, higher and higher, burning a path as it grows. The chain strains, buckling. “Yes.” I snarl. “Monsters like me.”
