I think that's the issue here, it's only as deep as you make it. I think people online talk deeply about all kinds of nonsense but it's not going to be around in a thousand years like the epics and philosophers of the past because it's not really that deep

Ya but you're comparing media in which the prime objective is the story with a media which is akin to modern chess or hunting, the story is not the main thing. Can it be deep? Sure but depends most the examples you gave have meaning to it but depth? That's debatable it's mostly just Hollywood

And that's literature not game design, the stories in games only serve a purpose of why you're attacking what you're attacking we literally delete entire characters because the game takes precedent

I have had many online encounters that make me wonder if the smarter magas aren't masquerading as woke sometimes to create division because I didn't even catch that because I was avoiding spoilers

Tell me you didn't play the game without telling me you didn't play the game and only read one article overanalyzing a nothing burger

I'm shocked how the only game to ever have a man carry a child in a womb is somehow considered tradwife garbage it's almost as if the article was written by an Xbox bro who hates kojima

He has a view of American media that is very reminiscent of the eighties so I totally agree it's a dead view but I think people miss the fact that this game is just mgs paperboy the story is kind of shoddy for me too

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

I agree but from a game design perspective there's only so much room, parenting isn't really fun it's painful and draining and testing but it's love, games are escapism and compared to other media videogames really fail on being deep even when they get close imo

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

Amazing looks like it took ages to get every detail love it

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

And why are you hating WTH did I say to offend you it's a take on a videogame

020

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

I see his game as a reflection of America, the women are mothers because of government exploitation not out of duty I agree Sam could okay a father figure moreso but the game and story split here, you have a mgsv delivery game with a story that doesn't fit that imo

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

I literally can't it's primarily a spoiler I told you

Pregnant Schwarzenegger***

000

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

Sure but besides that second Schwarzenegger movie have your ever seen a male carry a child in any kind of womb besides this game? It's not perfect but it's far from pushing white supremacist doom fantasies, I stopped at the spoiler so I missed allot I guess

120

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

I stopped when they spoiled the Lou part but it's not a parenting game so expecting the playable character to be a parent is a bit odd imo but I'm just giving my take no hate

010

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

Ya I got the part where they said there aren't a larger array of identities but I think the writer was trying to make it look like it's right wing propaganda when it's not. There's literally a baby inside of Sam Bridges that helps him repatriate. Plus the tons of vaccines you have in game is leftist

320

Varun @vpath1111.bsky.social · 08/07/2025

I mean a game centered around babies is going to have mother's in it, you even get to carry a child in an artificial womb as a man all day long
