With growing political interest in the issue, this column suggests five measures that might reduce the losses associated with quantitative easing in the future. Given that, two years after the Bernanke Review, markets continue to doubt that the Bank will achieve its inflation target, the author also proposes some measures that might help strengthen credibility.
