So many sandy waste areas – no bunkers. You could always take a practice swing and you were allowed to improve your lie in the waste area because there are no rakes. The property had a HUGE amount of undulations and Stranz made full use of every one of them. Highly recommend!

Mid Pines - highest slope of the three, but I shot my best Ross course round there. Related - probably my favorite. It combined the elite conditions or Pine Needles with just as good a layout at Southern. It was a little less stuffy than Pine Needles but still felt like an elite resort course.

There were kids, there were dog walkers, there were dudes smoking weed and playing music. Southern had more slope than the other Ross tracks but EVEN HARDER GREEN COMPLEXES! They were actively sanding greens as I played, but not for aerification. I think they were trying to keep the greens playable.

Pine Needles-this course just had that Time Machine factor. It was like an old school elite private course. It wasn’t that tight off tee, but the green complexes made you understand why it’s a 4x US open course for ladies. Combined with the firmness of the Bermuda greens and it was a real challenge.

The Chiefs running play action on only 12% of their total passing attempts while clinging onto the RPO at a rate roughly double the league average is why I think Reid’s offense has become stale. The league has evolved. Wish I could tag Eric Bienemy.
