Screened at 45. Doc found and removed a pre-cancerous growth. Instead of dying early, I just get screened every five years instead of every 10. Early and regular screening is so, so effective.

Once you accept that there isn't a line, there's just a line-shaped gaggle of people that could be a line of THE AIRLINE WOULD JUST ACCEPT SOME OWNERSHIP OVER THE PROCESS, it's slightly less offensive. I still remember when the airlines prioritized efficiency over price micro-segmentation.

It's true! There's a whole population of seagulls around the Great Salt Lake. In the first summer after settlers arrived, there was a swarming insect that was destroying crop fields en masse until the gulls came and ate the insects. The settlers became very attached to the gulls after that.

With the notable exception of the Interludes, I'm having real trouble getting invested in the Archon quests. The story quests, though... let's just say I was 97% complete on Chasm before I ever set foot in Sumeru (and I speak Arabic! I loved Sumeru!)

They are not. There's a lot of reasons for this culturally, and the sun is in fact a deadly laser so those reasons are technically stupid, but culture can be stupid and still be culture. The very very short answer is: tanned skin is largely seen as more attractive than pale skin in the US.

Working theory, from someone who commuted on the GW Pkwy during peak lockdown: a subset of drivers spent a year and a half acclimating to comically reckless disregard for traffic rules and being rewarded for it, and it takes a long time for a critical mass of drivers to FO about this type of FA.

WoW communication of mechanics has almost always been insanely frustrating. If I wanted to spend money guessing at how a game works that miscommunicates the rules to me and forces me to guess if I can trust my senses with each attempt for an ephemerial prize, I'd go to the fair.
