Even remotely. It helps keep me stay asleep and not be up super duper late even if I still struggle in the same way were I need YouTube playing in the background to get me there rest of the way. I also have ADHD so I need both my mind and body relaxed or exhausted to sleep.

Yeah I intentionally stayed away from melatonin because you can also gain a tolerance as well as it can mess up your brains production of melatonin naturally. I take an anti anxiety med that helps me relax called Gabapentin and I also take Mirtazapine to help get sleepy. Only thing that’s worked

Society norms will need to be shattered in order for us to not suffer through life. It will happen, it will just take a while sadly. Best thing to do from what I’ve seen and tried and heard is to find something that is either something you love or something tolerable till you find something better.

I’ve been trying to do different stuff like workout or play VR games to drain my energy but the only thing that seems to work is to take my meds and just wait till that 3-4am time rolls around and then and only then will my brain let go. Have you tried getting on sleep medication or anything?

Or maybe our system could just support people like us better. I have so many issues that it came to head and can no longer work without having really bad depression and anxiety spikes and spirals but still probably aren’t able to get on disability pay. We just WANNA LIVE.
