Rare allergenic weeds I documented 20 years ago, back when these Prague sites still existed—Karlínská náplavka, Bubny railway station. Most are gone now. These specimens live on in the Charles University Herbarium or as pictures at pladias.cz / www.botanickafotogalerie.cz

I found nice tufa deposit during my Easter floristic hunt (Primula farinosa, Narcissus bulbocodium) in Sierra de Zafrilla (Cuenca). Pollen will be preserved? How old will be the bottom sample?

Excavation at the Quaternary Refugium Zli Dol (Galičica NP) We're searching for fossil evidence of relict plant populations—and during the excavation, we uncovered Bronze Age pottery in the trench! A fantastic collaboration with the Archaeological Museum of Skopje and the Czech Geological Survey.

Accommodation has been booked for the summer fieldwork in Ohrid 🇲🇰. In addition to coring, this year we will be excavating ⛏️ locations suspected to be Quaternary refugia, due to the presence of various relict taxa, eg Ramonda, Aesculus.
