This job is also very outdoor work focused, which god I really do miss that. That was the only downside to the museum job… but at least I was able to afford going to my favorite places outside 😅

I do think not being able to afford the gas to go up into the mountains the past 2 months really fucked with my head and made my already deteriorating mental state worse. Feeling hopeful about this job, hopefully it’s not misplaced. I always feel so fixed being up there. It feels like home.

Did the usual of camping outside the park and going in around 4 AM to watch the sunrise. It’s my favorite tradition of fall. Being in the park as night turns to dawn is unbelievable, especially with the full moon illuminating the valley!

During my early teens when most of my suicide attempts happened I was haunted by the reality that nobody beyond like 4-5 ppl would've given a fuck or even known abt me once I died. It's a complex I've carried for far too long. Like 1) ppl do care so that's dumb but 2) why do I care I'll be dead lol

I manage to do so many more impactful things in my career vs. anything I've ever managed to accomplish with art. I think I'm just not really built how an artist *should* be. It really feels like it should be easier, like I shouldn't be constantly fighting myself to do anything beyond sketching.

Im so desperate to Matter but I do matter to a lot of ppl in my life which I want to be satisfied with. I need to just Not Matter to the greater internet. But man I grew up on here. It feels so entwined to my person, embarrassing as it is. Ig if I do disappear, know that I'm fine.

The crux of the issue is I have always been obsessed with what people think of me. I've made great strides in improving this over the years but it still follows me like a dark cloud. Socmed is poison for shaking these feelings. It's such a hard thing to kick but it might be the only way I get peace

I think the self imposed pressure of trying to stay known and how much stock I put into whether my identity as an "artist" is valid has caused me extraordinary amounts of stress over time, on top of knowing anything I say is being seen by my abuser, I kinda just feel done with it all.
