I've never used AI in any of my videos and projects and I never will- using Siri AI/Apple Intelligence was never for any actual purpose, just unfortunate curiosity on my own time.

... I might consider doing that, but even now just describing a request feels bad. Certainly I will not use Siri for anything that involves creation or brainstorming of any kind. I am so very sorry for the stupidity. If you're still stuck around and/or are willing to, thank you. Love you all.

I haven't used either in over a year and certainly won't now. I'll only use Siri for the basic assistant stuff it's always been able to do. If I can be *certain* that an AI action can be done on device and only draw on non-stolen data, like looking for a particular photo or email (...)

Between the summers of 2024 and now, while Apple Intelligence was comparatively really bad, I might've used Writing Tools and Image Playground less than a dozen times total, and only to play around with them, not for any real purpose. Writing was okay... Image Playground was kind of literally slop.

For full transparency, I only used Visual Intelligence over the summer that handful of times, and up until now I've only asked Siri itself a few questions about basic stuff like its capabilities- I also tried making a shortcut by describing it, which ended up not working anyway. (...)

Just because I think the topic calls for it, nothing I make will ever be generated or assisted with AI, and if I ever use outside assets I will make every effort to ensure there's no AI in them.

With how easily I crack at AI, I should've at least been more hesitant to do this at the time. No more... I'll only use something with AI in it if I feel I need to study how it actually uses AI and how the AI itself works. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

That makes sense, it'd be common sense pretty much anywhere, it just becomes so much harder to realize that when the word "AI" immediately raises feelings of opposition (rightfully so)

... it'd make sense that any question involving world knowledge would likely need to use the internet, and servers by extension. Even if they're Apple's private servers, it's still servers, and servers aren't very cool

My thinking at the time of using Siri like this was that it was basically an enhanced version of how iOS could identify things in your photos when you're looking at the them in the Photos app. I would've also felt better if this could happen entirely on-device. But (...)

Still, I know that AI at all is a super volatile thing, especially chatbots, and myself being against creative AI, I feel just as yucky about it. I'm starting to realize that using AI with that in mind could be hypocritical, but I'm not sure. I might be overthinking it, which is why I ask.

I also don't do this super frequently- it was more often in the summer (while I beta-tested it) and even then it was only maybe less then 10 times a month... which could still be seen as a lot and I totally get that, but I haven't really used it at all over the past month.

I need to ask for an honest opinion, and please be blunt if it's warranted... is it bad to use the new Siri for looking up things around me with my camera? Like animals and plants that hang out in my area. I always look up the answers it gives me on my own, and *most* of the time it's right.

Oh, I see- I must have missed that one, but as long as it wasn’t NSFW or beyond the PG-13 themes of Ashley’s Story, I wouldn’t have had an issue with it. But I completely understand the worry, as well as the feeling behind your sympathy, so it’s all good. Keep doing what you’ve been doing :))

I need to start posting here more. I'm working on a new Ashley's Story video, and it shouldn't be too much longer of a wait if I just kick my butt into gear. Pt. 4 is in the early writing stages, and I need to get on that too. I don't want to rush, but I don't want to sleep on it either.

A modded YT app like YouMod or YTKillerPlus might be of interest to you- I eventually succumbed to Premium but I used one before then. They don’t require jailbreaking, the way I did it was with AltStore which just requires a computer and a “refresh” every 7 days

Because of a steady amount of arguments and issues caused by my own difficulties with moderation and authority, I've made the decision to close the link to my Discord server indefinitely. I'm not sure what the future holds, but I feel like it's the best thing to do for peace of mind. I'm so sorry.

I like it too- sometimes it can give you *more* space in illustration thanks to height. I just don’t like seeing it in media that clearly shows elements of the current day like modern tech, combined with modern-day composition and filmography like this ad from Instagram (it was a year ago but still)
