But wait! It's a "short story" update month for the Patreon, too! The latest short story, Obligations, is available for all of the supporters on Patreon who help provide the funds I need to pay my artists what they deserve. Thank you! I say "short story" because these are getting to novella length!

We're now just an hour away from the seventh Void Dreaming Livestream Q&A, where I've spent the last week gathering (and not looking at) questions from readers on the Discord! Hold onto your butts; I think it'll be a longer one today!

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I don't quite understand the question, sorry. I also try not to give out specific how-to info to people since that discovery is part of the VN! The discord however is full of readers who are very happy to help, though!

Oop! Some issues with the achievements have been discovered. New builds are compiled and updated now; both Patreon and Itch should have the corrected builds available for download. Sorry! I also... accidentally deleted the existing builds from Itch in my haste before the new ones went up. Sorry x2!

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

Fingers crossed it's not a post I have to make again in December when the Itch build goes to Day 8. I'm confident!

010

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

There's also a much larger post up on the Patreon, to address some of the comments and feelings that were very active in the wake of Day 8 Part 2 releasing. I know some readers aren't going to like what I have to say there, but I hope they can trust me to always do right by this project.

I just want to make sure I wasn't misunderstood, heh: Rael won't be making an appearance in sprite form outside the sort of brief looks we've had of him in the past, sorry! But you'll definitely be able to see him in the CGs on Day 8! As for sequels, those are too far away to think about just yet!

000

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

I'm sorry! I've had a look and tried to generate a new no-time-limit link for the page, but it's literally generated me the exact same discord link as before. I wish I knew what was keeping you from getting on; apologies!

100

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

Sure! You'll actually be able to see it in part come Day 8, actually! There's a few CGs that get to show off Rael in a few different looks, actually! And possibly even in a few different states of distress if that's your thing, so I'd rather not spoil the surprise too much right here, heh heh!

111

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 11/09/2026

That's very kind of you to say, thank you! I'm very glad you're enjoying Void Dreaming! The link should still be working, so it's odd that it's not! I'll make a new one and update the Bluesky and the Itch pages with it once I'm up and around tomorrow!

As challenging as the last couple of days have been due to issues with the Day 8 Part 2 release, they've been on the whole really, really good. I took the days off from the day job, and I've been moving through a massive amount of VN work. Going back to the office tomorrow is gonna hurt.

0140

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 07/09/2026

I should be in bed and sleeping, but for the last hour and a half I figured something out that's been bothering me for months. And some quick searching online has revealed some answers. Yes, I am bugfixing and adjusting things. No, this isn't eating into that time. This is sleep time! Supposedly.

Compiling the release builds for Itch's Day 7 update and Patreon's full Day 8 update now. Exciting; we're only a little more than fourteen hours away from them both going live, along of course with the monthly transparency blog post. You're all in for a wild ride!

1130

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

That's very kind of you to say; thank you! It's absolutely a lot of hard work, but I feel like the project's special enough to warrant it. Though I will say I do not plan to ever do something like Day 8 again. If I ever try, I'll find a more refined way forward than this nightmare!

010

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

Day 8 for Patreons is going to be a huge test for the project and I'm understandably nervous. Discovering new issues this late in the game is horrifying to me! And Day 7 is a massive deal for the story, now hitting public release. I'm a mess of excitement and fear!

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 31/08/2026

The last week before a major update is always a pain. No time to myself, lots of prepping builds and confirming I have assets allocated to the right ones; never want to put out an Itch build with the Patreon content, after all! And the bugs! My final testing already discovered a bunch of new ones!

And Itch readers will have to wait a little bit to get access to the transparency update and the 0.06.05 bugfix update for them; Void Dreaming was too powerful and apparently Itch died as soon as I added the new version. Will update when I can!

Void Dreaming FVN @voiddreamingvn.bsky.social · 29/07/2026

Day 8 of Void Dreaming has been a nightmare for me to work on for so long now that it feels strange that we're only days away from Patrons getting their hands on Part 1 of it. To say I'm nervous is a massive understatement!
