The town is cute as a button! It has a population of only c.25k people and yet had 1 Michelin star restaurant, 2 Michelin recommended restaurants, and a million others! We feasted like queens and had our fill of cheese n wine 🐷

Last wknd I was supposed to be on my first Wild Women of the Woods weekend this year, camping n canoeing in Co Kilkenny, but it got cancelled 😭 So instead, 6 of us went on tour to Rodez, France cos we found cheap flights 🎉 No, we'd never heard of it either! Come with! 👏IT👏WAS👏GLORIOUS👏

I found some people to go with! Seeing as no-one i knew wanted to go 😭 Justin Timberlake last night was a GREAT gig. He sounded fantastic, he did all his old moves n hits, and his band were BLOODY BRILLIANT. I love a bit of brass so I do! A fabulous time was had 💃

To finish: - Dad had the coconut n mango panna cotta as they're 3 of his favourite things - I had the pistachio sponge w sour cherry n savoury dukkha. The most original dessert I've had in a fucking age. Would go again just for this. And I'm not a dessert person!

The coley dish was a little salty for me, n the wellington pasty was a bit moist cos of the jus - but both were very tasty n the crab tortellini n kale were proper delish. The cauliflower was the suprise winner for us 🤤 The Portuguese dao tinto was dangerously quaffable 🍷🥴

Sunday! A glorious day, so a wee dander up the coast for some vitamin sea. Stopped at Glenarm for a wee forest walk n then a ridiculously delicious chowder at Moran's. That pic is after I've half eaten it too! Ridiculous value for £10! Rest of menu looked great too. Recommend

Then there was a post dessert, cos of course there was! A wee passion fruit pastille n a fennel pollen gaufrette which we paired with an (extra) espresso martini So our 6 course dinner w 5 wines was actually 8 courses + bread n butter + 7 wines n 2 cocktails 🙈🐷🥴 WHOOO!

Of course we all had the extra cheese course 🧀 with an extra glass of wine (or port for the boys) We have: - a Cais na Tire - Ballylisk from Co. Armagh - Kearney Blue That Ballylisk is one of the best cheeses I have met in some time. We LOVED this. I wish I had some now 😭
