I'd give that a very low probability. I'm not keen on how 2026 went down, but a not-insignificant part of that was key injuries. I do like the foundation we have going into the offseason. Though I fear it is going to be a much-extended offseason.

My comment was not an endorsement of a cap. I've always favored a progressive tax, with even more aggressive penalties for meeting minimum levels (plural). Always been pro-labor, now more than ever. I just want some semblance of parity, and a way to force the owners to strive for it!.

This is a very interesting point. The only major sport where "everyone gets a turn" to directly contribute, since it is out-based. While the other sports are time-based, so no matter who you add, you still only have the same limited opportunities.
