I don’t know who needs to hear this but inside you is an absolute badass who can do anything and the moment you start letting that energy move you to action consistently life is gonna start rapidly becoming what you dream of.

Dear #musicians If you treat online interactions like an in-person conversation, you can build real relationships with people who’ll support you.

1/ A few years ago I found myself regularly getting up early in the morning and driving out of town, trying to find somewhere I could be completely alone in the world.

Had fun layering things to get the background “monster vocals” in Swimming in the Sun! Great reminder to keep *playing*, not just *working*. Fellow musicians, you ever try any weird stuff in the studio that you wound up loving?

Short and sweet new playlist for those who like to discover indie folk/rock artists early. Some of my favorites from local (Wisconsin) acts and some from new online pals that fit the vibe. Listen at link in bio. #indieplaylist #indieunderground #indierockmusic #indiefolkmusic

I used to regularly feel compelled to drive far from the house I lived in to escape the person I lived with. “Swimming in the Sun” is about escape and finding a better place through on the other side of the dark. I hope you find your escape in it too. (Link in bio)

Do you ever look back and wonder how you tolerated living somewhere or under certain conditions? What did/would it take for you to finally break free? This is where “Swimming in the Sun” was written and it’s story. Our bodies know what’s right for us. We just need to stop and re-learn to listen.
