Between 1990-2024, GHG emissions in the EU fell by 40%. In 2005-2024, the EU #ETS accounted for over 3/4 of the net reduction in GHG emissions. ETS is still the most sound long term instrument with a carbon price signal, suitable for investors and long term planning.

From the @ec.europa.eu State of the Energy Union report, it is clear that #EnergyEfficiency has reduced the energy burden to a substantial amount! More needs to be done to reach our 11.7% savings target, which can save us 162 billion Euros from our bills!

The housing pressure in the private rented sector is growing. We need clear policies to alleviate #energypoverty in the private rented sector, with fair distribution of costs and benefits to tackle split incentives between tenants and landlords. The #SocialClimateFund can set such policies! #EU
