I'm designing a deer OC for my upcoming comic and as usual I suck at deciding on the colors. Which style do y'all think is better for him?

Just a quick practice on rendering. I always wanted to make "painting" style art but it always come out looking kinda... off to me? Sometimes I look at popular artists like nviek5 and nullghost and their art is like magic to me haha. Like, how do they get so good at drawing?!

Four of my illustrations I did this year of cool spots I enjoy. Mainly doing Ottawa locations, but I branched out to Toronto for one. All done up on my iPad with Procreate, using reference I source from Google street view, photos I've taken, and found online.

Babylon nightclub, a closed venue in Ottawa

The Dominion Tavern in Ottawa, a fantastic dive bar.

Escort work is never easy, especially when your clients are two dragons with huge dicks. I actually have a whole story already planned out for Lexx (the horse) that centers around regrets and redemption. Anyway I drew this mainly to get better at drawing cityscapes and I sure had a blast doing so!

Ah, so that's what Gervic is looking down at. I think I'll be fun to draw a mini comic about Vlagg proposing to Gervic. It's about time anyway since they aren't married even after having a child.

I am terrible at estimating the length of my story so I really cannot say how long the story will be. Also yeah the angle of inheriting his family fortune is interesting to think abt.

110 0

ValljuTheBird @vju791.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Yes, his story will be about his struggle with his progressive chimerism that causes a conflict of identity and conflict with his bodily transformation.

ValljuTheBird @vju791.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

I already has a name for him. It will be revealed at the end of "The Inheritors" comic.

130 0

ValljuTheBird @vju791.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

Nah, his chimeric form is more like a progressive change. And that is the main conflict of his story.

020 0

ValljuTheBird @vju791.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

This is a concept design for Gervic and Vlagg's chimera son that is to be featured in a sequel comic. Thing is, I still cannot come up with a satisfying design and story for him. Ahh, it's like I have writer's and artist's block at the same time!

What happens in an abandoned space station stays in the abandoned space station. I've seen so many furry fan art of Starfox that I just had to draw one myself. It's not often that I do fan art so I was wondering what other characters should I draw next?
