Very bizarre for my star wars post to get quoted framing me as a hater when I very specifically clarified that I'm *not that* and even pointed to a positive thing I'm looking forward to a new era of these movies personally! Maybe we can get some cool new video games further up in the timeline

A screenshot of someone quote posting me, framing me as a hater. I will avoid using their username in this alt text to prevent any kind of searchability, I don't want drama.

The person who quoted me: Honestly I'm more deflated looking at everyone going "but the Skywalker Saga is over now" "get new stories and characters" and "move on" and the like.
Do y'all WANT more Star Wars or NOT??????

My original post: I'm not like a Star Wars hater at all really, and I like Jon Watts' Spider-Man movies, but man is it so hilarious and lowkey deflating to hear that they plan to continue "The Skywalker Saga"

One of these responses is not like the others

A post by Big Joel and multiple replies to that post

Big Joel finds it interesting that chatbots used to default to female voices but now in the modern era default to male voices

Most of the comments point to the fact that chatbots used to be seen as servants but are now presented as super powered authority figures

at the bottom, a reply by "really dumb girl" says "everyone gay now"

While I actually don't think the OoT Remake looks ugly, I find myself agreeing pretty strongly with this perspective that art should be allowed to be weird and ugly I like when artists make weird controversial choices instead of playing it safe, and this style is definitely not playing it safe

A YouTube thumbnail showing images from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time for Nintendo Switch 2 alongside fan images trying to "fix" the art style. It also has a meme image showing Link with a strange "baby face" in the corner. At the center of the thumbnail is a person looking to the side with the text "LET ART BE UGLY" in the center.

The title of the video is "The Ocarina of Time Discourse is Ridiculous..."

I never noticed this but it looks like the change started with his character design in DBS Super Hero and was carried into Daima Really odd change though!

I'm also seeing people speculate about it being outsourced to a western dev, or that it's on like Unreal Engine and I'm gonna have to say no on that one This is very clearly the same engine from botw and totk, look at the water and the distant lighting, it's straight from the Wild Era games

A screenshot from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Nintendo Switch 2 showing very similar water and distant lighting to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

Ally Pankiw and Kate Herron are in the news for turning down Harry Potter and I think that's rad of them. I was reading the article though and this is some absolutely cowardly writing from Variety

Variety

"The reason? Rowling's views on Trans persons' rights, which many have alleged are transphobic."

People will really just AI generate a thumbnail, slap 8K on it, and get 400,000 views I went to the exact frame of the video they used to generate their slop thumbnail for comparison

A clearly AI-generated YouTube video with a thumbnail showing fake "enhanced" graphics for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The tile of the video is "[8K60] Zelda Botw RTX 5090 - RAYTRACING shader - Ultra graphic gameplay - Extreme settings

When I see someone say "it looks like they Hired This Man" about the brief bit of OoT Remake footage we have, I really just have to ask like, have these people actually SEEN the "hire this man" UE remake project? I say this with no hate in my heart for fan projects like this, it's just

A screenshot from a cancelled fan remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time showing Link wearing a Bunny Hood and playing an ocarina.

There is a text box that reads: "You put Water in the bottle! You can release it by pressing {C}. It's useful to grow some plans on the ground." (the typo for plants is in the image)

The second shows Chun-Li, Tifa Lockhart, and Mai Shiranui side by side with their boobs pressed together

I'm noticing that Fox is characterized a lot like his depiction in Star Fox Adventures here, and that is only a good thing The amount of sass in his voice and expressions in this scene is so good

A screenshot of the title, description, and AI-generated summary of a YouTube video uploaded by Muck Fario.
The video is titled "WE REVIVED Fario Muker, but at what cost?"
The description reads "So tough!"

Below that is an AI-generated summary with highlighted text that reads: "Muck Fario revives Fario Muker in this chaotic challenge!"

The full summary reads: "Muck Fario revives Fario Muker in this chaotic challenge! Players navigate treacherous platforming levels, encountering various obstacles and power-ups. The race includes a surprising game show segment, adding an unexpected twist."

Google AI does not understand what it means to Muck Fario

A screenshot of the description of a YouTube video by Muck Fario which includes an AI summary of the content, the summary reads:

"Muck Fario's latest video shows thrilling gameplay through varied levels. Players navigate challenging platforming sections, encountering fiery pits and icy landscapes. Watch as they jump, hop, and dodge obstacles in this fast-paced competition."

This summary does not have any information about what it means to "Muck Fario", which is the act of refusing to finish a level in Super Mario Maker 2 until eliminating the player controlling Mario at least once.

This is fair and I agree but also the amount of people I see hate on Charizard now *because* of its popularity has kind of made it loop back around where like, if I see someone saying Charizard is their favorite mon I respect it more now because of all the haters
