expectation vs reality of living with an autoimmune condition, by me (maybe the percentage of dealing with side effects should be bigger than I listed here)

A comparison of two pie charts. It reads:

what they think it's like: 100% being sick

what it's actually like: 33% being sick 15% isolation 5% friends disappearing 7% researching my illness 10% financial stress 12% fear of getting worse 5% feeling betrayed by my own body 3% spacing out from the pain 5% being told to just tough it out 5% dealing with side effects of medication

this manga upset me greatly and I think I'll be upset for quite a while, can't wait for the anime adaptation

A screenshot of the the manga Takopi's Original Sin

The image shows of a sad octopus lien attempting to comfort a young girl. dialogue reads:

"It's because I'm stupid, and mess everything up-pi. I made you do all the work so you ended up... ...this worn out and tired-pi. I'm really sorry. So please, let's just go home-pi. I can... Get out lots of gadgets so we can play! We can... Float with the flappy flappy wingies. And turning into caterpillars... ...with the transformation palette will be fun too-pi, I'm sure. I want you to go back to being your old self-pi. I just want you to..."
