I guess I just really wanted to rant somewhere, because… it's been a really long damn time since writing music has brought me this much raw, childlike joy. I know it'll be a while before I experience this again, but… I'll treasure this moment for as long as I can :) Fin.

Now. Normally I'd post a snippet here, but we currently live in a world where people take sneak peeks of unreleased music, feed them into AI, and then pass it all off as their own creation. So I'm holding back for now… But I WILL release the whole thing soon. I owe it to 13yo Sai.

I reached a flow state that I hadn't felt in a really long time. Every idea I put down worked first try. And in the process, it's like I was rediscovering the reason I took up composing in the first place; which, if I'm being honest, I'd sorta lost sight of that in recent years.

Obviously I kept to the spirit of the source material as much as possible… but I couldn't resist throwing in a couple of brief musical moments were I went completely off the rails, as if 26yo Sai really just wanted to show off and blow 13yo Sai's mind.

…What followed was genuinely the most fun I've had writing music in about a decade. I basically worked as if I had 13yo Sai next to me, watching his future self take his ideas and bring them to life in a way far beyond anything he could conceive at the time.
