Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 06/10/2026I'm doing my best. That doesn't mean it's good. 050
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Have I mentioned how I appreciate that the broom is "enchanted" but not necessarily "spooky"? Sort of like dreams, now that I think about it. 030
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Just throwing it out there but I'm really loving the broom :P 030
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I'm not sure what's going on here but I think I'm into it. 060
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 21/08/2026I think when you're a kid, you don't notice things like character depth, worldbuilding, and how good frame-by-frame hand-drawn animation really can be. 120
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 21/08/2026This recent interaction got me thinking again about The Secret of NIMH 120
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 18/08/2026Me when people don't give furry-staffed, nerd-centric VR platforms a chance. 020
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 17/08/2026The comics are pretty brutal too. Which I guess is why they're so relatable. *nervous laughter* 030
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 08/08/2026From curious anthropologists, right? 130
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 04/08/2026Hard to believe it's been four years of #RoosDay. Roos' Day #0 (pictured) was held on July 30, with the first official one on August 9th. We're celebrating tonight (10pm ET) AND this Saturday (6pm ET), so hop in if you get a chance! Spread the word! 2131
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 21/07/2026And of course no furry bait thread is complete without mentioning Orangina :P 011
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 16/07/2026Yeah, 100%. Probably somewhere out there reading this message right now.... >.> 110
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 16/07/2026Those moments where you have to decide between heat stroke with it being 80 in the house vs. lung disease with "don't go outside" particulate matter. 000
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Here is the alternate group photo as well, from the larger instance. 151
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 15/07/2026Given the unfortunate news about Sam Neill, and how kangaroos are basically buff t-rex deer, I figured this might be a relevant place for #RoosDay. In fact we maxed out the instance! 📷Photographotter 170
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 05/07/2026Happy July Fourth to those who celebrate. :) I was hoping for a bit more celebration for a quarter-of-a-millenium event, but I guess "current events" put a damper on it for a lot of people. Unfortunate timing, but hopefully will motivate Good People to try politics, vs. just slamming rail-to-rail. 020
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 03/07/2026Also since you bring it up, it's weird how fashion has gotten super boring. Look at 60s/70s/80s hair styles or outfits (not even in haute couture) and it's all over the map. These days, even though crazy stuff would be far more accepted, everything is just so bland. 030
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 02/07/2026Thanks to everyone who made it for #RoosDay! We'll meet next Tuesday as usual, plus I created a group event on VRChat to remind everyone of the weekend meetup on the second Saturday (the 11th). Join if you can! 051
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 29/06/2026By the way, in case anyone thinks "oh, that's crazy, nobody would do that," here's an IBM article describing the concept, and a related quote. www.ibm.com/think/topics... Note also the reach for a sort of Adobe-esque payment structure. 000
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 29/06/2026I can pretty much guarantee Ford isn't re-hiring engineers, at least not where they laid them off from. Source: living there. >.> The latest hotness seems to be hiring west coast devs to build automotive software like cellphones (ship lower quality software faster, and then do OTA updates). 110
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 27/06/2026Hah, glad to know kids still had fursonas in the 1200s. 1224
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 24/06/2026Coincidentally also one of the earlier games to support consumer VR (via the VFX1), in case I haven't mentioned that recently. >.> 000
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 23/06/2026Adding onto what others said, there's also this, which I'm sure had some bearing on its colloquial use.... 110
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 16/06/2026You just don't appreciate the subtle artistry of how the vacuum tubes give the colors a soft, warm, organic feeling. ;-P I'm sure people were thrilled to even see color at all. If it's any consolation, the colors shown on actual 70s TVs were likely even worse. 110
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Anyway I know twitter/bsky aren't great for longer form content but just figured I'd log my "con report" here for posterity. Hope everyone who attended had a great time, despite the couple of snafus. I'd say overall it was definitely worth it! See everyone for Furality #10! 030
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Also I'd hoped to get a "Viva Piñata" theme going for my rex - kinda surprised nobody really ran with that theme given mid-2000s and furries. Anyway I ran into problems with a custom shell texture shader, and despite some friends helping it still didn't make it but I at least made some progress! 120
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 10/06/2026I do have a minor regret in that I had a Showcase idea that I kinda lost motivation for, thinking it was maybe too much of a buzzkill. In context, I think it might've worked. I may put that together after the fact - it won't have the same reach, but maybe it can still convey the message. 210
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 10/06/2026This also was my first year volunteering with Furality (Video Production), and even with expectations set I was still surprised at how many total strangers would come up to me when repping the staff group and ask about my role, or randomly complement the worlds, or ask how they could get involved. 140
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 10/06/2026Just to put my own notes out there, I really enjoyed Ultra. I had some doubts about the theme going in, but I think they did a great job nailing the aesthetic. The lobby world was stunning, and I loved the minigames you could play with friends. The stage world was amazing tech-wise, with good sets. 391
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 10/06/2026#RoosDay photo from @photographotter.bsky.social. Thanks to those who attended! We had really good turnout (about 36 individuals, with max of 32 at a time). 371
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 27/05/2026I got out of the habit of posting these lately, but happy #RoosDay! Thanks to everyone for coming! The Furality countdown continues next Tuesday! 190
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 26/05/2026Not saying there's a connection but like.... 000
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 19/05/2026I never had issues with them. I can't find the right meme image for this so apologies to ZeikoMiray. 000
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 11/05/2026How many hyperfixations can I stack simultaneously? Let's find out. I won't dwell on the trail effects further, just to say that I've always found that effect interesting since coming across it in an old 80s CGI video once, so now it's kinda "full circle" to finally know how it was done. 021
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 28/04/2026Kangaroo stretches are satisfying in their own way, of course.... 1275
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 22/04/2026Looks like I picked the wrong night to listen to Pink Floyd. I should know better by now.🙃 050
Professional internet roo @virtualvert.bsky.social · 12/04/2026Nice. Just throwing this out there but I always thought the old Triumph Sprint ST would lend itself well to a night fury paint job. 000
